Keat Buguey is a screenwriter and filmmaker who focuses on documentary films and short comedies. He recently earned his MFA in Film Production from Full Sail University and has filmed three documentaries plus five short comedies.

 

Prior to that, he was the Motion Media Producer for the video marketing team at the University of Mississippi, while earning an MA in Journalism. He developed narrative content promoting the aspirations, values, and atmosphere of the university by producing a campus tour video, 12 degree program testimonials, and at the culmination of his time at Ole Miss, he coordinated and edited the video components of the university’s 2020 online virtual graduation ceremony.

 

Keat proudly served in the U.S. Navy, where he first found his passion for storytelling as a Mass Communication Specialist, and later began his journey into filmmaking as a Broadcast Communication Specialist onboard the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Nimitz and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.

 

Although all aspects of filmmaking are fascinating to him, the past year of working in production proved only to reiterate his passion for writing and bringing ideas from the heart to the page.
